Now the winter break is over, the Andros Trophy series held its fourth event of the 2010/2011 season last weekend at the Isola 2000 circuit in the Alpes Maritimes.
Wishing to make a splash straight away, Jean Philippe Dayraut (Saintéloc Racing Team) first clinched the first qualifier before having to slow down his pace because of tyre problems. 'The weekend was a bit difficult with tyre pressure problems without which we should have won. We must work on the car to improve its performance on tar because we're going to arrive on tracks where ice will be rarer and rarer' said Motul's rider, second of race 1 and fifth of race 2.
In the overall standings, Jean Philippe Dayraut still ranks second, only 15 points adrift of the present leader.
As for the Andros Electric Car series, of which Motul is a technical partner in particular, Nicolas Prost is currently the leader of the provisional overall standings with a tiny single point lead over Christophe Ferrier.
Last, the Lans en Vercors event, initially planned for next weekend, has been postponed, because of a lack of snow, until 23 January 2011 when it will be held at St - Dié - des – Vosges.
Standings:
1// Alain Prost (Dacia – 596 pts)
