Hexis Racing testing 2013 version McLarens

18.02.2013

The two McLarens of team Hexis Racing, supported technically by Motul, now display their 2013 livery, sober, effective and faithful to that adopted during the 2011 campaign which saw the French team clinch its first world title. Design agency, Com’On, was in charge of the project: 'The aim was to integrate new partners while keeping the visual identity and respecting the team's house style.'

Bearing this new livery, the two cars participated in the tests at the Lédenon circuit on 12 and 13 February, to begin their pre-season tests programme. Alvaro Parente, Alexander Sims and Stef Dusseldorp, the three drivers contending in the Blancpain Endurance Series Pro Cup, drove as part of the FFSA GT French championship offensive led by Olivier Panis. The main goal was to discover the 2013 version of the McLaren MP4-12C GT3. The changes concern the electronics module, electrical system, shock absorbers, an improved aerodynamic package and a new cooling system. These changes were tested with the Pirelli tyres used in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the Michelin ones of the French championship.

After Lédenon, Hexis Racing will travel to Motorland Aragon for other tests during the last three days of February. The four drivers present in the Gard, France, this week, will then be joined by the rest of the 'bunch', Laurent Cazenave, Jean-Claude Police, Éric Debard and Côme Ledogar.
