THE EIFEL CLASSIC: THE 24H RACE AT THE NÜRBURGRING

The "fastest meatball in the world", driving the new Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, qualified on pole for the Porsche Endurance Trophy and then spent a significant amount of the race pushing for a podium spot. Unfortunately, the team, however, was ultimately stopped by a little mishap that occurred overnight. On Saturday at noon, the start was cleared, and right away Güven seized the lead and held it for the first several circuits. In the next stints, "Jules", Hendrik von Danwitz, and Klaus Abbelen all performed outstandingly using the previously devised configuration and were able to seize the top three positions early on in the race. The Frikadelli Porsche was destroyed during a nighttime overtaking effort due to a minor collision, which ultimately led to the team's retirement.

Dennis Fetzer, who started the race in the Lionspeed by Car Collection Motorsport Audi R8 LMS Evo on Saturday in position 19, had a faultless performance throughout his stints. He set top times that could compete with those of the factory drivers during the Sunday morning severe weather phase. The group consisting of Dennis Fetzer, Klaus Koch, Dennis Marschall, and Simon Reicherda ultimately placed 13th overall in the illustrious race. An outstanding result that supports the team's strong success in the field of elite drivers.

Ring Racing competed with a contingent of three vehicles. In addition to the two Toyota GR Supra GT4s in SP10, the team from Boxberg entered a Hyundai i30 Fastback N in the VT2 class for the first time. An incident in the pit lane on race day forced the #84 Supra to halt in the early evening, and it wasn't until after extensive repairs that the trio could resume their drive on Sunday morning. After then, everything went well for Janis Waldow, Tobias Vazquez, and Lance David Arnold, who finished the race in sixth position overall and sixth in their class. Due to persistent minor issues, the second Supra driven by Andreas Gülden, Michael Tischner, and Heiko Tönges likewise had little chance of placing on the podium. The Supra #83 finished the race one spot in front of its sibling vehicle. In the race debut of the Hyundai i30 Fastback N, Marcus Willhardt, Michael Bohrer, Stephan Epp, and Gerrit Holthaus were on a long winning streak. The race's first hours were dominated by the vehicle. the team clawed their way back to the front of the class following a prolonged maintenance break caused by a suspension issue. The Toyota GAZOO Racing Team Thailand did exceptionally well in the 24-hour event. They achieved a double triumph with the Toyota Corolla Altis, surpassing their previous year's success in SP3.

Teichmann Racing experienced several setbacks. At their home race, the Adenau team fielded a total of four KTM X-BOWs, three of which were disqualified. For Georg Griesemann, Maik Rönnefarth, Yves Volte, and well-known YouTuber Felix von der Laden, whose car was driving when the fire started but was unharmed, a fire on the KTM X-BOW GTX put a stop to the race. For the drivers of the KTM X-BOW GT4s driven by Phil Hill, "Maximilian," Andreas Tasche, and Michael Mönch as well as the KTM X-BOW GTXs driven by Michael Amweg, Tim Sandtler, Florian Wolf, and Dirk Adorf, the race was also called early. The quartet completed the marathon without making any blunders up until the wee hours of the morning, when an accident forced them to stop running early. The foursome of Stephan Brodmerkel, Hendrik Still, Constantin Schöll, and Laura Kraihameram reached the finish line in 58th position overall after a night of extensive repairs.

The rigorous standards were more than met by Giti Tire Motorsport by WS Racing. The squad was very convincing in terms of sport, taking first place and winning their class. The crew, which was recently put together in the winter, excelled in the race despite facing many challenges, but what matters, even more, is their strong sense of camaraderie. Four cars from Giti Tire Motorsport by WS Racing took part in the competition. Hot class-win candidates like the VW Golf GTI in the VT2-Front class, as well as vintage amateur racers like the BMW 328i in the VT2-Rear class or the Porsche Cayman in the near-series V6 class, were among the team's colorful assortment of racing vehicles participating in the different classes. Also, the team inside the team, which solely included female members, the "Girls Only" took part in this race,  as they raced with a BMW M4 GT4 in the SP8T class against challenging opponents.

Carrie Schreiner, Célia Martin, Fabienne Wohlwend, and Pippa Mann split driving duties in the BMW M4 GT4, resulting in a fantastic third place and podium finish. In terms of sport, things fared even better for the VW Golf GTI, which has now evolved from a perennial runner to a contender for victory in the VT2 Front class. Even a third-place finish in this highly competitive class would have been a major accomplishment, but the Golf and its drivers Axel Jahn, Ulrich Schmidt, Robert Hinzer, and Lutz Wolzenburg showed once again that lap performance is not everything in a 24-hour race. Against these overwhelming opponents, the Golf team was able to win the class. The constancy and flawlessness with which the vehicle, driver, and crew performed this long race were crucial to their achievement. The BMW 328i, which included debutants Matthias Möller, Fabian Pirrone, and Detlef Stelbrink, as well as New Zealander Wayne Moore, drove an incredibly clean race into the night but was then hit hard at the front axle by a lapping opponent, causing the BMW to stay on the track. Regrettably, this resulted in an incomplete categorization. The Porsche Cayman drivers, who started in the V6 class, were also unlucky. Nils Steinberg, Niklas Kry, David Drinkwater, and Nicolaj Kandborg stayed in the lead for a long time until David Drinkwater's stint, when he had to drive through a debris field and injured both rear tires. As a result, the driver team had clawed their way back up to the podium rankings with blistering lap times when the Cayman's race was ultimately put to a stop owing to a fused engine wiring harness caused by catalytic converter damage. Despite this, the four drivers were very pleased with their work.
