Since the beginning of 2020, motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki and French lubricant expert MOTUL have been working together as part of a partnership. Thus, Kawasaki not only gives a clear recommendation for MOTUL products in the context of service and maintenance work. The Lime Green engine oil, which has a green color typical of Kawasaki motorcycles and even smells slightly of lime, was also developed in close cooperation. The contract extension for a further three years means that the success story will now continue.
"We have been able to benefit greatly from the close cooperation with MOTUL in recent years. In MOTUL, we have found a lubricant and care product partner that has an extremely good distribution network and a very large product range for almost every area of use. This gives our dealers a great deal of security. On the other hand, the products are first-class in terms of quality and technology and thus fit very well with our premium standards," says Jürgen Höpker-Seibert, branch manager at Kawasaki Germany.
This high standard of both companies was also reflected in a special cooperation that generated great enthusiasm among fans of the brands in late summer 2020. The striking engine oil Kawasaki Lime Green Edition by Motul 10W-40 gained cult status among fans within just a few weeks thanks to its toxic green color and lime smell.
After such a success story, it comes as no surprise that now - during the Kawasaki Days in Speyer - the contract for an initially three-year extension of the cooperation between the two companies was signed.
