Belgium classic car owners can now take advantage of Motul’s extensive range of specialist products as well as its technical know-how in a new deal struck between the Belgian Historic Vehicle Association (BEHVA) and Motul. The partnership, which will last for several years, means knowledge and expertise will be shared by Motul, including technical information about fluids and their ideal application.

Exclusive classic vehicle products
BEHVA members will also have access to Motul’s extensive range of products developed specifically for oldtimers, available to order directly from the clubmotul.be webshop. Motul’s range of classic motor oils for classics extends from pre-1950 all the way to “Eighties” and “Nineties” products developed exclusively for young-timers.
More than just lubricants
The product range includes more than just lubricants: there are greases, creep and brake oils, coolants and high-performance “Car Care” cleaning products to keep your classic in sparkling condition. The partnership was fittingly announced at the start of the Spa 6H Classic race at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit earlier this Month.
Expert advice for classic car owners
Peeter Henning, CEO of BEHVA, said: "As an oldtimer federation, we are very pleased with this cooperation. It is also a logical consequence; after all, BEHVA is part of the international old-timer federation FIVA, which already cooperates with Motul on a global level. The local federations in countries like France, England and recently the Netherlands, already work together with Motul. Belgium now joins the international ranks. The zeitgeist is ready now. Motul has set up an exclusive webshop for our members, experts are available for oil advice and the products are delivered at home, which is very customer friendly. We ourselves notice an increased interest among young people in vintage cars, and in recent years also in youngtimers, which is good for preserving our driving heritage. And we also invariably present our partners' products at all the events and fairs we attend."
The perfect partnership
Erik Drost, area manager Motul Benelux, added: "For Motul, all the puzzle pieces are falling into place. In addition to the existing B2B channels and relationships, we recently launched our first official e-commerce platform clubmotul.be. So, through BEHVA, we are also targeting the classic car enthusiast who does minor maintenance on his vehicle himself. BEHVA enables us to communicate through them and share educational information with all members. Motul develops its products itself, so there is a huge amount of in-house expertise on lubricants and their composition. Besides product sales, knowledge transfer such as tips on the perfect oil change, preparation for winter storage of vehicles and other seasonal maintenance, among others, can be of great value to BEHVA members. BEHVA in turn plans regular product communication to its members and others in the classic industry, via events, mail, social media and the printed member magazine. Therein lies the strength of our cooperation."
What is BEHVA?
BEHVA is the umbrella organisation of classic car clubs in Belgium. Founded in 1988, it includes not only passenger cars, but also motorbikes, buses, commercial vehicles, military vehicles, trailers, carts and tractors. It also represents museums and event organisers. The federation promotes clear and safe legislation around old-timers, offers information, technical expertise, member benefits and acts as a helpdesk for owners' questions. BEHVA is part of the international oldtimer federation FIVA.
