Motul and French watch maker Depancel have collaborated on a new watch – the Serie-P Pista 24 MOTUL Edition. It’s a watch inspired by the world of endurance motor racing and kicks off a collaboration between two leading players in the world of fine mechanics. Let’s have a look at the details of this new watch, which will be available for pre-orders from July 26, 2022.
The Serie-P Pista 24 MOTUL Edition is a sporty watch that evokes the world of endurance and performance mechanics, as evidenced through the design details. The dial pattern is reminiscent of the radiator grille of racing cars, while a brake disc motif can be discreetly seen under the hours. Red accents, a large date display window and skeleton hands boost the sporty, high-performance look. As a nod to those races that go on long after sunset, the Pista 24 MOTUL Edition adapts to changing light conditions: the hour markers and numbers feature an SLN coating that offers maximum visibility at night, and the 24-hour function is equipped with a day/night indicator.
This sporty watch is powered by a reliable and durable Miyota 9132 movement. Its well-tuned motor is protected by a cushion case in 316L stainless steel topped with an unscratchable sapphire crystal treated with an anti-reflective coating. In terms of functionality, the automotive world is in every detail: the indication at 12 o’clock, designed to look like a fuel gauge, makes it possible to check the status of the power reserve in real-time. The bidirectional rotating bezel, with minutes indication, can be used to measure time intervals easily.
