MOTUL AT THE GOODWOOD REVIVAL: FIVE THINGS NOT TO MISS

Vintage fashion meets historic cars this weekend at the Goodwood Revival, the iconic event that revives the glamour of period motor racing. Set in the English countryside, the Goodwood Revival has become one of the world’s leading classic car events – and this year, it is shaping up to the one of the busiest for Motul, a key partner of the event.

“Motul is proud that its partnership with Goodwood continues to go way beyond our presence at one of the UK’s greatest historic motoring events. That said, there really isn’t anything that compares with the Goodwood Revival! It truly is a unique blend of historic racing, pageantry, and fun,” says Motul UK Country Manager, Callum Goodland. “Motul has an incredible history and its expansion in the historic sector – both in terms of product portfolio and partnerships – is an important part of our plan to further extend Motul’s overall reach in the UK, both on two wheels and four.”

Here are the top Motul highlights not to miss at the iconic British motoring event.

The Motul Garage shop returns to the Goodwood Revival High Steet, featuring classic Ruf Porsches on its forecourt. Visitors will be able to browse and buy from the extensive Motul Classic Lubricants range and Motul’s popular retro merchandise. Motul experts will also be there to give advice on any lubrication matters. 

As well as the Motul Garage, this year we welcome the BRM Racing Garage, which relives BRM’s legendary days of the 1960s and celebrates the 60th Anniversary of BRM winning both the driver’s and constructor’s Formula One World Championships. The BRM Garage area also features a lounge area for Club Motul members – the online portal that gives fans access to exclusive Motul deals, advice, merchandise, competitions and events. BRM fans can also head over to the paddock, where they will see – and hear – the fabulous Motul-lubricated BRM V16 F1, which was recently restored to its former glory.

Motul’s vintage mobile laboratory will be on hand throughout the Revival to offer people a free oil analysis. Based near the main paddock, the bus will allow people to bring in an oil sample that can be analysed to give your car’s engine and gearbox a health check. The service is open to both competitors at the Revival and the general public. Anyone wanting a free health check can pick up an oil sampling kit at the Motul High Street shop.

The Motul Vagabond vintage truck is making a welcome reappearance at the Revival. The truck was an official Motul oil delivery truck and was named ‘the Vagabond’ because of its wide-ranging journeys through the villages and cities of France over several decades. Motul was heavily involved and supported its restoration.

Motul will also be the presenting partner of one the Revival’s feature races, the St Mary’s Trophy for Classic Saloon cars. Lotus Cortinas, Mini Cooper S and Jaguar Mk2 saloons will compete with BMW 1800s, Alfa Giulia GTAs and some mighty Americana on track. The driving line-ups for the two-part race includes some of the UK’s leading historic gentleman racers, as well as professional drivers, from touring car legends to Le Mans winners, F1 stars, IndyCar Champions and, this year, even six-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson.
