Paul Morris, Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship Coordinator, said:

“After an intense amount of work to re-organise the 2022 calendar and reset the sporting and technical regulations, all achieved in a short space of time, we were delighted and very excited to have opened the season of the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship on Epynt with such a high-quality entry. Epynt always provides a fantastic challenge and there was once again a fierce battle for overall and class points over the famous mid-Wales military roads. It was impossible to predict a winner beforehand, and that’s exactly the way we like it on Protyre Asphalt rallies!”

Richard Scarbrough, sales director at Witham Motorsport, added:

“Witham Motorsport was on-site at every stage supplying Motul oil products as well as our full fantastic product range in a one stop shop. From high performance Motul 300V motorsport lubricants to reliable top quality classic oils, coolants, brake fluids, and transmission fluids, they offer the competitor all they need for the best performance. We know we service reliable products, and that’s what benefits a heavily stressed rally engine.”

Richard Scarbrough, sales director at Witham Motorsport, added:

Motul ambassador Neil Roskell looking forward to 2022

Motul ambassador Neil Roskell enjoyed a wonderful 2021 season, finishing fourth overall on the 3 Shires and Ford Parts Cheviot Stages Rally and fifth on the PokerStars. His Epynt debut also netted a good haul of points, having overcome gearbox issues to finish 14th overall on last year’s Mewla Rally – and then he returned later in the year to win the rescheduled and non-championship Tour of Epynt. Third in the Protyre Asphalt drivers’ standings at the end of last year was a tremendous achievement and Roskell will start the 2022 season in his ND Civils/Collins Construction Ford Fiesta R5+ with Andrew Roughead co-driving.
