MOTUL partners power to two-wheeled podium success
MOTUL’s partners had a really great few days of racing in an action-packed weekend of top-class, two-wheeled competition with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans (FRA) plus the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship and the Supersport World Championship in Aragon (ESP)!
The F.C.C TSR Honda France team overcame a challenging 24 hours of racing on Le Mans’ Bugatti Circuit and more than compensated for a difficult start to the season by winning this legendary race. The new, extremely reliable, MOTUL-lubricated Honda CBR1000RR-R was the bike to beat in the very mixed conditions and another of the company’s long-time partners, the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, added to the success by finishing on the podium in third place. The final round of the 2019/2020 FIM-EWC Championship takes place on 26th September in Portugal and the Honda team will be trying to reclaim the Teams title from Suzuki so it will be an exciting conclusion to the intense series.
With Motul’s philosophy of using competition as a living laboratory for new products in mind, look out for the launch of a new, racing-specific product developed for the 2020 HONDA CBR 1000 RR-R using the HRC Racing kit. Developed in association with HRC in the All Japan Road Race Championship, more to come soon…!
Meanwhile, in Spain the 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship provided more podium success for PATA Yamaha WorldSBK Official Team at the MotorLand Aragon circuit, the first of two consecutive rounds there. Young Dutch rider Michael van der Mark maintained his consistent record of a top 3 finish in all four rounds so far, this weekend in the Superpole race. It surely won’t be long until he’s celebrating from the top step and Motul will be with him all the way!
Also enjoying some fun in the Spanish sun was MV Agusta Reparto Corse rider Raffaele De Rosa who narrowly missed out on second place in the second race of the World SSP Championship. It was, however, his second podium finish of the season and the valuable points have really brought the championship standings to life.
Motul is very proud of its partnerships with some of the most successful biking names around the world. The results from the past weekend demonstrate how this support – together, undoubtedly, with the quality and high-performing 300V lubricant used by so many champions – offers such great rewards and returns in so many different categories of two-wheeled competition.
