Steve Ramon offers 'Le Touquet' to Suzuki!
Belgian Steve Ramon has just added another honour to his CV. FIM Motocross World Champion in two categories and seven times Belgian MX national champion, the Belgian won the Le Touquet Enduropale 2011. With 250,000 spectators present and 1,028 motorcycles taking part, this highly prestigious event held since 1975 has once more this year confirmed its status as the prime French motorcycle event.
It was at the wheel of an RM-Z450 modified for the occasion that Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX team rider (formerly Suzuki Teka, the name of the partner of the previous team) managed to battle forward among hundreds of participants to cross the chequered flag first.
This victory will go down in history because, at his first participation in the event, Steve Ramon has become quite simply the first Suzuki rider to shine in this event created in 1975!
Last, note should also be made of the extraordinary ride by another Motul rider, Milko Potisek, who finished on the third step of the podium.
