Motul’s name is once again in the headlights of success following World Endurance Championship victory for the Motul-supported Vaillante Rebellion team in Bahrain.
The final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship took place into the night of Saturday 19th November, and the No.31 Vaillante Rebellion of Bruno Senna, Nicolas Prost and Julien Canal took victory in the LMP2 category, thus also clinching the FIA WEC LMP2 Teams and Drivers championship titles.
Motul extends its warmest congratulations to everyone involved, and especially to Michel Vaillant and his team for capturing another famous title on his return to endurance racing in 2017!
Due to the fact that Nicolas Prost missed one round of the season, only Senna and Canal will officially be crowned champions but both drivers paid full tribute to their team mate and noted how important his contribution was to the championship.
After 72 hours of racing in the 2017 FIA WEC, the gap between the Vaillante Rebellion car and its nearest rival came down to 10.6 seconds and the battles within the LMP2 class have been incredibly competitive and close all year. Vaillante Rebellion and Motul’s championship is well deserved!
