IOM Tourist Trophy / Isle of Man

17.06.2011

Magnificent second place for Guy Martin

After his Superstock and Supersport podiums (cf. Motul Sport News No.22) at the beginning of the  week, the driver of Team Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing confirmed his status as a man to be contended with by clinching second place at the Poker Stars Senior Race, the major Tourist Trophy race.

Guy Martin finished just behind the famous John Mc Guiness who, in addition to taking his 17th Tourist  Trophy, also clinched the new race record with 1:45:45.80 (the former record had been held by Steve Plater since 2009).

In addition to the major communication deployed by Motul, partner of the event since 2010, the twenty  invited clients and the thousands of spectators present also saw the handing of the Motul prize for the best technical performance to the rider of a 100% electric motorcycle.
